This Privacy Policy describes how Heroh Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Uga Love mobile application ("App").

1. Information we collect

• Date of birth
• Gender and relationship preferences
• Profile photos
• Bio, interests, religion, tribe, languages, country of origin
• Phone number (optional)
• Messages you send to other users

Information collected automatically

• Device token (FCM) for push notifications
• Approximate or precise location (if you grant permission)
• App usage data

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Show your profile to potential matches
• Suggest profiles based on location and shared interests
• Deliver push notifications (new matches, messages, likes)
• Enable messaging between matched users
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• Respond to support requests

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only with:

• Other users — your profile (name, photos, bio, interests, district) is visible to others on the platform. Your email, phone number, precise location coordinates, and coin balance are never shown to other users.
• Firebase (Google) — we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications. Your device token is transmitted to Google's servers. Google's privacy policy →

• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos, messages, and personal information within 30 days. Some data may be retained for longer periods where required by law or for legitimate safety and fraud prevention purposes.

6. Location data

Uga Love requests location permission to show you profiles near you and to show your approximate distance to other users. Your precise coordinates are stored securely and are never displayed to other users — they only see your district name and an approximate distance such as "8 km away". You can update or remove your location at any time from your profile settings.

7. Photos

Profile photos you upload are stored securely and displayed to other users on the platform. Do not upload photos that include other people without their consent.

8. Children's privacy

Uga Love is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account immediately.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
